Our trip started on Saturday morning. We left Bali around 12:30 AM and took the boat to Lembar Port in Lombok. The boat departed at 9:00 AM, and we arrived after a short wait. One of the bikes had a flat tire, so we stopped to fix it before continuing.

After a quick meal in Padang, we rode toward Mekaki and entered the Sekotong trail. At first, the road looked like a normal village road, but later it became quite steep and rocky. We were surprised, as we didn’t expect a trail like that. Carrying heavy backpacks also made the ride more difficult and tiring.
We learned that it’s better to tie your bags to the bike instead of wearing them on your body. It helps with balance and makes the ride more comfortable.
We continued the ride and reached our first stop: Bukit Bun Beleng. From the top, we could see the view of the hills and ocean. We took a break there, flew the drone, and took some photos.
After that, we visited another nearby hill with nice scenery, but we didn’t have much time to explore since it was getting late.

As the sun started to set, we returned to the main road, found a place to break our fast, and then continued to Selong Belanak. We spent the night there, just 5 minutes from the beach.
It was a long and tiring day, but a good start to the trip.
